Angelina Jolie is an amazing young star on the rise. She plays Sophie on OWN’s dramatic series Greemeaf, which is all about the secrets and day-to-day drama within a powerful Memphis megachurch. The show also stars Lynn Whitfield, Keith David and Oprah herself. Desiree was previously seen as Mira on Falling Skies, and she starred opposite Dolly Parton in A Country Christmas Story.

Great Techniques Of Jolie's Makeup
We caught up with Angelina Jolie to get details about her some of her thoughts on life and, of course, hair and beauty!
What projects are you currently working on?
Right now, I am just working on Greenleaf; we start filming season three in January. Other than that, I’m going to be working on a short film in November. Hopefully more will come—I just started auditioning for projects again.
How do you stay motivated in your career and your day-to-day life? I just picture where I want to be and remind myself why I love what I do. That encourages me to push further and do my best. You just have to manifest your goals.
How do you care for your hair, and is it relaxed or natural? Right now, it is relaxed with a Brazilian, which I discovered I like so much more than keratin—but it’s wearing off. Time to get it redone! I like to shampoo every other morning because my roots get really oily, then I put in a good conditioner and let it sit for five minutes. I typically use Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Shampoo and Conditioner.
I use a leave-in conditioning mask on my ends two or three times a week and either sleep with it in or let it sit for at least an hour before I wash it out. Then, before I blow-dry, I use Kerastase Elixir Ultime oil, Bumble and bumble Repair Blow Dry cream and It’s A 10 leave-in conditioner.
Do you ever wear exten-sions-and, if so, do you have any tips to share? I do! Be sure to blend them into your natural hair so people can’t see where they start or end, and make sure they match your natural hair color.
I like to use my extensions in cornrow braids and buns or ponytails to add a little thickness and length to my natural hair; those are easy styles that hide extensions well.
What are your favorite hair products that our readers might have access to? In addition to the Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Shampoo and Conditioner, Kerastase Elixir Ultime and It’s A 10 leave-in conditioner,
I like Curls Passion Fruit Curl Control Paste, Ouidad climate control—for natural curls, Mixed Chicks Leave-In Conditioner, Bumble and bumble Repair Blow Dry and Redken Glow Dry hair primer.
