Apples Stewed

2 medium apples, peeled and 6 to 8 cloves, whole sliced.

1 tablespoon unsweetened apple juice concentrate.

Arrange the apples in 1/2 medium-sized, flat, microwave-safe dish. Drizzle the apple juice concentrate over as many apple slices as possible.

Add the cloves. Cover.

Microwave on high for 4 minutes Stir two to three times during cooking. Allow to stand for 1/2 further.

3 minutes.

Use as desired.

Serves 2 to 3

1 tablespoon grated orange rind lA-l cup garbanzo beans, peeled, processed to resemble nuts (63)

1 For stewed pears follow the recipe and instructions as above but use 2 to 3 pears instead of the apples and omit the cloves.

Add.

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.

2. For stewed peaches follow the recipe and instructions as above but use.

2 peaches instead of the apples and omit the cloves. Add 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.

3. For stewed raspberries follow the instructions as above but use 2 cups raspberries instead of the apples and omit the cloves.
