Baked Stuffed Onions Recipe
Cooking Time: 30 minutes.
You will need for 4 servings:
4 medium-sized salt and pepper onions butter.
2 tablespoons 1 pint white sauce.
3 oz. Grated cheese mashed potatoes.

1 Peel the onions and parboil in boiling salted water.
2 Drain and cool a little, then remove some of the inside with a small teaspoon.
3 Chop the onion which has been removed and mix with the breadcrumbs and half the cheese. Season carefully.
4 Add a little of the white sauce to moisten if necessary.
5 Fill the onions with this mixture, sprinkle with the rest of the cheese and dot with butter.
6 Bake in a moderately hot oven (375‚°F – Gas Mark 5).
7 Serve on a bed of hot mashed potato and serve the sauce separately.
