Just like morning, solar noon is also an optimal time to get some light exposure. If you are at the office, step outside and let the light shine on you. If you are able, twenty minutes is ideal.
Several hours into your day is a good time to release some of the stress that has built up. Afternoon meditation provides an opportunity to keep the stress from building up too much, and gives you a time-out from whatever the day is demanding of you. This meditation might be in the form of a traditional meditation technique (see here). time spent in nature, a nap, or any other activity that you find calming. You may feel as if you are too busy for this time-out. Let me tell you this: Taking this time for yourself will actually help you be more productive for the rest of the day.
