Braised Pork Chops Recipe
Cooking Time: about 30 minutes You will need for 4 servings: 4 pork chops (cut oil for drying 1 inch thick) 1 onion (optional) cornflour 2 tablespoons tomato salt and pepper juice
1 Trim chops and coat with cornflour, seasoned with salt and pepper.
2 Choose a pan big enough to take the chops in a single layer.
3 Pour in sufficient oil to cover the bottom of the pan.
4 Add chops and brown on both sides.
5 Pour in tomato juice. Add onion thinly sliced.
6 Cover and simmer until chops are tender.
7 Serve with creamed potatoes.
Liver country style
Cooking Time: 30 minutes You will need for 2-3 servings: 8 oz. lamb’s liver, 1 pint milk sliced 2 oz. mushrooms,
2 tablespoons corn oil sliced
1 packet onion sauce
1 Fry liver in oil, then drain and place in ovenproof casserole.
2 Make sauce according to directions on packet using 1 pint milk. Pour over liver.
3 Cover and bake at 350Â°F, Gas Mark 4 for about 25 minutes.
4 Add mushrooms 15 minutes before end of cooking.
