They always knew their long-distance love was going to be tough. But, heartbreakingly, we hear Bachelor couple Sam Wood and Snezana Markoski have hit struggle street, with the nearly-3000km between their home towns of Melbourne and Perth proving to be a major challenge.
âœOver the last month or so, they’ve spent weeks and weeks apart, which has been incredibly tough for both of them,â a pal of 35-year-old Sam tells NW.
âœWhile they’re deeply in love, everyone’s starting to worry that there’s too iuch pulling them apart to
realistically be able to make it work long-term.â
Indeed, compared to how inseparable they were following the show’s finale in September, at the time of going to press, they hadn’t been spotted together since attending a charity event in Melbourne in November.
And while the couple are hoping to rekindle their love over the festive period, behind closed doors they’re faced with hurdle after hurdle, including making sure Snez’s 10-year-old daughter Eve isn’t too affected by their longdistance romance.
Snez hadn’t been seen together since they stepped out to support the Alannah And Madeline Foundation, a charity . that works to protect kids from violence, in Melbourne on November 21.
about Sam’s devotion, he admits playing stepdad isn’t always easy.
âœNo, not really,â he replied when asked if he sees himself as a father figure to Eve.
âœI don’t even think about it like that. It’s really early days still. I sort of pride myself on being good with children, but this is a totally different ballgame.
âœEve’s not a baby – she’s 10, so my thought process is that
the speed of our relationship is entirely up to her. I think I’ll spend the rest of my life with Snezana, so the sooner Eve and I can get on brilliantly, the better.â
But Sam’s under no illusions as to the bumpy road ahead.
âœYou go on this show a bit skeptical about whether you’ll find a long-term partner, that’s for sure, let alone ending up with a single mum who lives in Perth and I live in Melbourne,â he says. âœI couldn’t have made it more difficult if I tried!â
Well, hopefully a nice long Christmas break will get the couple back on track.
Sam – who tells us longdistance relationships are all about being âœpatientâ – adds that he can’t wait to spend a big chunk of time with Snez over the holiday period.
I âœWe’re going to do a bit of a Melbourne thing, then ‘ a Perth thing and then we’ll go away together – the three of us. I love spending time with Eve, so it will be great,â he gushes.
Good! No-one wants a Bachie break-up for Christmas!
Melbourne to be with Sam every weekend,â adds a source close to Snez. âœEve will always come first.â
Meanwhile, Sam’s been left flying solo at string of events, including last month’s ARIAs, where he told NW,
âœSnez is shattered that she’s not here.
She really wanted to come but she’s just had too much time away from Eve and it was more important she stayed at home.â
And Sam’s pseudo singledom hasn’t gone unnoticed on social media, either.
As well as shots of him eating dinners for one and enjoying nights out with the boys, there are numerous snaps ofhim training hot ladies in his Melbourne gym, which even prompted one concerned fan to comment, âœPoor Snez!â And while we’re sure 34-year-old Snez has no need to worry.
