Celery And Cheese Au Gratin Recipe

Cooking Time: about 15 minutes.

You will need for 4 servings:

1 large can celery 1 pint white sauce – hearts (or 1-2 heads using J pint milk fresh celery, if time and 1 pint liquid permits) from the celery 1 oz. Butter 2-3 tomatoes, peeled 3 oz. Grated cheese and sliced squeeze lemon juice.

1 Drain the celery and put into a fireproof dish.

2 Make the white sauce, add butter, most of the cheese and the lemon juice. Pour over the celery.

3 Sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top and arrange slices of tomato round the edge.

4 Put into a hot oven (425‚°F – Gas Mark 7) for about 15 minutes to heat through.

Egg and shrimp savoury.

Cooking Time: about 20 minutes.

You will need for 4 servings: 4 eggs, boiled for 6 1 4-oz. Can shrimps minutes 1 small can 1 oz. Butter evaporated milk 1 tablespoon chopped seasoning parsley 1 tablespoon grated.

1 teaspoon chopped cheese chervil, if available 1 level teaspoon French mustard.

1 Peel and cut the eggs into slices.

2 Mix all the ingredients together, except the cheese, and season carefully.

3 Put into a greased fireproof dish, sprinkle with cheese and brown in a moderately hot oven (375‚°F – Gas Mark 5).
