Devilled Fish Recipe

Cooking Time: 20-25 minutes.

You will need for 4 servings: 1f-2 lb. Fillets of 2 shallots, finely white fish

1 pint dry white wine.

4 tablespoons water.

1 tablespoon oil.

1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley chopped.

1 teaspoon dry mustard 1 level teaspoon curry powder salt and pepper.

1 Put the fish into a greased fireproof dish.

2 Mix the wine, water, oil, parsley and shallots.

3 Mix the mustard and curry powder smoothly with a little warm water and add to the rest of the liquid.

4 Add a little seasoning and pour over the fish.

5 Bake in a moderate oven (350‚°F – Gas Mark 4) until the fish is cooked and flakes easily.

Fish and bacon rolls.

Cooking Time: about 20 minutes You will need for 4 servings:

4 good-sized fillets plaice or sole.

4 rashers bacon lemon juice salt and pepper toast.

1 Trim the fillets.

2 Remove the rind from the bacon rashers and place a fillet on each rasher.

3 Sprinkle with lemon juice and a little salt and pepper and roll up. If necessary, secure with a wooden cocktail stick.

4 Bake in a moderately hot oven (375‚°F – Gas Mark 5).

5 Serve on hot buttered toast.
