Christmas Rum Punch.
You will need for 18 persons: 60 cloves 2 bottles cider fresh oranges cinnamon.
1 bottle brandy ground nutmeg.
1 bottle dark rum.
4 tablespoons sugar or sugar syrup.
1 Stick about 10 cloves into each orange and bake these until the rind becomes brown.
2 Put the baked oranges into a warmed punch bowl and add the brandy, rum and sugar.
3 Stir the mixture thoroughly, and set it alight.
4 Slowly add the cider, putting out the flame.
5 Sprinkle the top with cinnamon and nutmeg.
6 Stir and spoon into punch cups.
Maybe rest the next day as well. Listen to your body. You won't necessarily lose fitness by making that kind of wise decision with your training. Better to live to fight another day than to crash and burn with a foolish injury.
