Calendula Eyes All/Infected
A healing, antimicrobial treatment for inflamed, sore eyes where infection is present.
Replace roses with calendula flowers.
Leave on at least 20 minutes, allowing the flower juices to seep into the eye. Repeat as needed.
Note: When dealing with infections of any kind, it is wise to do some internal immune support while also applying external help (see Defense Formula page 100-101).
For tense, strained eyes, and very relaxing to do while applying a face mask.
2 chamomile tea bags very hot water
Place the tea bags in a cup and cover with very hot water, just enough to saturate them. Place a saucer on top of the cup to prevent the evaporation of the herb’s volatile oils. Let tea bags cool to body temperature. Lie down in a comfortable place with a towel under your head and apply a tea bag to each closed eye. Leave on at least 20 minutes, allowing the herbal juices to seep into the eyes. Repeat as needed. Makes enough for 1 treatment. Variation follows.
