French Dressing Recipe

You will need:

6 tablespoons corn oil pinch dry mustard.

2 tablespoons vinegar 1 teaspoon salt.

Pinch pepper 1 level teaspoon sugar.

Put all the ingredients into a small screw-top jar and shake well.

With onion, parsley or tomato: A little finely chopped raw onion or chopped parsley, or 2 teaspoons tomato purde, may be added to the above dressing, if liked. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Never-fail mayonnaise.

You will need:

1 teaspoon sugar 1 teaspoon dry mustard 1 teaspoon salt Mix sugar, mustard, pinch pepper 1 egg white 6 tablespoons corn oil 3 teaspoons vinegar salt and pepper in a basin. Blend in the egg white and beat well.

2 Continue beating, adding the corn oil a little at a time, until half is used.

3 Add 2 teaspoons vinegar, then the remaining corn oil, beating all the time.

4 Beat in the remaining 1 teaspoon vinegar.

5 The mayonnaise can be stored if necessary, in a covered jar in the refrigerator. This quantity makes about 1 pint.

Quick salad dressing

No Cooking.

You will need:

2 teaspoons French mustard.

1 tablespoon granulated sugar.

1 Blend the French mustard with granulated sugar.

2 Stir into the yoghourt.

Add salt and pepper to taste.
