All of the techniques I have described can be considered training. You are training your body and mind to be relaxed and, ultimately, to relax on command. It is virtually impossible to relax on command when events provoke you, and you have no practice with relaxation. However, with daily practice in controlling your mind and calming your body, you will find that you have a much less intense reaction to whatever your life presents. You will begin to experience the space our third driver was able to put between herself and her problems: peace.
In the next chapter we will explore methods to relax your eyes specifically. The more practice you have in total body relaxation, the more proficient you will become in the eye exercises. Keep up the good work.
