Hey everyone, I’m Jordan from Braids by Jordan. Today I’m going to be showing you how to do this pretty Knotted French Braid Updo that I think would be great if you’re going to the beach or wanna keep your hair off you shoulders this summer. If you haven’t already comment to Hairstyles make sure to hit the comment button and give this post a Big Thumbs Up. So let’s get started. Start off by taking a section of hair from the top of the head and dividing it into three pieces. And now we’re gonna start the French Braid. So take the left piece and cross it over into the middle and then take the right piece and cross it over into the middle. And again, take the left piece, but this time we’re gonna add in a small new section of hair, before crossing them both over into the middle. And then repeat again with the right side, so add in a small new section of hair, and cross them both over and into the middle. And then just continue those steps to create a French Braid.

Once the braid reaches the ear, take all the remaining hair and split it into two. Then secure each half into a ponytail with a clear baby elastic. And then I went back and carefully pulled on the inner edges of my braid to give it more volume. To start the bun, tie the two ponytails into a knot against the head and pin it in place. Then tie the tails into another knot so it lies just above the first one, and pin it in place. Depending on hair length you can just tuck the ends in here, or if your hair’s longer like mine, you can twist the tails down each side and then tie them into another knot just underneath, before pinning it in place. Once the bun is secured, you can go back and carefully pull on the edges of the knot to give it more volume. And that’s it.
