According to the song, Santa Claus is, “Gonna find out who’s naughty or nice.†But what if you can’t helpthat people mistakenly think you’re naughty?
For six-year-old Landon Johnson (below right) that was a very real fear when he met Santa at a grotto in his local shopping centre in Michigan, USA.
Landon panicked that he wouldn’t get any presents as his autism meant people often misinterpreted his behaviour and thought he was naughty.
But kind Santa told him: “You know I love you and the reindeer love you and it’s OK. You’re a good boy… It’s OKto be you.†Landon’s mum Naomi, who was moved to tears, says: “It’s the message I’ve been trying to get through to him – he’s special and I love him the way he was made.†Naomi isn’t the only mum to be moved by Saint Nick. Suzanne Williams was also left tearful after her daughter Mali’s encounter with him at a grotto in Cleveland.
