African wooden combs with very sharp tips.
If you do use a comb, choose a comb that has large, widely spaced teeth that are smooth and rounded at the tip. If you use a comb with sharply pointed tips there is a danger of tearing the hair strands.
Dont use a hair brush on Afro hair – unless your hair is cut very, very short and close to the scalp.
The closely placed bristles of the brush tend to get caught in the curls on our head and will split and tear the hair strands when the brush is pulled through the hair. Not good!
Experiment! Play around with hairstyles and you will find that you regularly come up with new ways of wearing your natural hair.
