A very hot bath, around 32‚°C (90‚°F), will open the pores and encourage the body to sweat, helping to release harmful toxins.


Be playful with this meditation. Don‚ „t make it into a serious exercise. Allow the creativity of your mind to build on what you pay attention to, what you see, and how you think. Give yourself time. You might need another kind of release after this meditation (ahem) but at the very least this will get your creative, er, juices flowing.

There are times when a fight hangs thickly in the air, like cigar smoke. It changes the air in a room, quietly clinging to the walls until something innocuous is said and all bets are off.

Obviously, it‚ „s worth communicating when something is profoundly bothering you. However, when a bad day turns into a fight that makes a botched cleaning project seem like a valid end of your relationship, it may be time to take a step back and reevaluate. My partner would be happy to tell you that I used to be horrible at this. I am a fixer. Walking away felt like defeat. He helped me to realize that the pause could be a chance to reevaluate my own reaction.
