Snake bite for child
Snake bites leave two fang marks close together. There will be pain and swelling of the skin at the site of the bite in the case of most adder or viper bites. However, severe symptoms can occur without much reaction at the site of the bite, especially in the case of some cobra bites.
Try to identify the snake so that the correct antivenom can be given. Keep the victim very still and quiet with the site of the wound lowered. Tie a band of cloth between the bite and the heart only if you are sure it is a cobra or mamba bite.
Release the tourniquet for 30 seconds every 30 minutes. Contact poison centre immediately and follow instructions.
