Stretch marks for Contraception
Stretch marks can occur almost overnight during pregnancy when they appear as red lines on the abdomen, breasts or thighs. They are thought to be caused by stretching of the skin if you gain mass too rapidly, in addition to the effects of hormonal changes. Although they fade gradually to silvery whiteness after the birth, they don’t disappear completely. Creams and lotions used to prevent stretch marks can do no more than lubricate the skin and possibly make it more elastic, but they cannot make them disappear or prevent them forming. Plastic surgery is the only method of removing stretch marks completely.
