Moby Dicks had everything we wanted all wrapped into one: it was far enough from our home to feel like a mini getaway, with a to-die-for view of the ocean and gorgeous beach-cottage decor inside. Our theme for the day was ‘rustic, romantic bush fairytale’.

From our floral arch to all the candles, the end result was exactly what I’d imagined when planning the wedding. It felt as though I was at the centre of pure golden goodness and love. The whole day was magical and I’ll never forget how many special moments there were. But seeing Adam for the first time, as I walked up the aisle towards him, was incomparably amazing. The suspense you feel right up to that second when, suddenly, you see all of your friends and family, and your soon-to-be husband…

It’s overwhelmingly emotional. My dress was tricky to find. Nothing was ever quite right. Finally, my mum and I planned a trip to a huge mall in Sydney, where I tried on ten gowns. I knew I had it on the fifth – a Martina Liana design. I got goosebumps wearing it and my mum and sister welled up. When you know, you know. My top tip: Take five minutes out on the evening of your wedding just to sit with your partner and take it all in. You’ll be shocked at how quickly the day flies by.
