She laughs: “I want to move as soon as possible and set up a proper home with Michael – we might all have to move into his place in Birmingham during the interim.
“I can’t wait to decorate a new place that will be just ours with the boys.
It’s a fresh start without any unhappy memories. I finally feel settled and would like this to be my happy ever after!â€
They’ve been planning their wedding for years, only for it to be put on hold when his football career took him to New York 18 months ago. But finally Christine Bleakley is set to marry her fiance Frank Lampard in a lavish winter wedding.
The couple began dating in October 2009 and were secretive at the start of their relationship to protect Frank’s ex-fiancee Elen Rivas – whom he’d split from the year before – and their two children Luna, 10, and Isla, eight. Christine,
36, later adopted the role of hands-on stepmum and the pair got engaged in 2011. And earlier this summer Frank,
37, admitted they were “very ready†to finally get hitched, adding: “She’s my best mate. Simple as that.â€
The pair were reportedly planning an intimate Christmas wedding for 20 December at London’s private members bar, The Arts Club.
The guest list is said to include Frank’s former England teammates Wayne Rooney and John Terry, plus Christine’s TV presenter pals
Susanna Reid and Phillip Schofield.
A source says: “Christine jokes that Frank was more concerned with the wedding details than her. He’s gone to extremes to show just how special she is to him. He’d been debating three venues, but settled on The Arts Club as it’s a beautiful historic building and has such a magical atmosphere for a winter wedding. His wedding wish list included a Michelin-star chef and entertainment from Ed Sheeran, as he’s Christine’s favourite singer.
“The wedding has been delayed so many times because of their hectic work schedules, but they decided to make it their priority. They are both broody and keen to start a family after the celebrations. Christine has been joking that it’s a relief to get the wedding over with so they can focus on the next chapter.â€
